Registration
Registration for each event will start at 2:30pm and end at 3:30pm.  If you have not paid by the time that registration ends you will be penalized 100 chips regardless if the event has started and you may be unable to play.  

Points and Mulligans
Every tournament you play in throughout the series you get a point for every player that you do better than.  For instance if you finish 10th in a tournament with 100 players you would get 90 points for that event.  This year we’re putting into effect a mulligan system where you are only judged on your best 6 performances.  This way you can afford to skip an event if you need to, or you can play in all of the events and afford to have a bad showing that won’t wreck your score.  Points are important because they determine how many chips you start with if you make it to the Tournament of Champions or the Championship Freeroll, also the player with the most points gets a free entry into the Tournament of Champions.

Tournament of Champions
$5 out of every buy in throughout the series will go into the Championship prize pool which will be awarded during the Tournament of Champions.  You cannot buy into the Tournament of Champions, the only way to play in it is to qualify.  The tournament will consist of the winners of the first seven events, the player who accumulates the most points throughout the series, and the two winners of the Championship Freeroll.

Championship Freeroll
The Championship Freeroll is your last chance to make it into the Tournament of Champions.  This tournament will be a free tournament for the top 20 players in points who have not yet qualified.  Players will be given chips based on the amount of points they have accrued throughout the series and the last two players remaining will return the next day to play in the Tournament of Champions.

Satellites
This year we’re running a $200 No Limit Texas Hold’em Main Event.  In order to get the maximum number of players into this event we’re going to be running $20 Satellites during all of the GSOP events.  These tournaments will start at 9:00pm on the day of our regular tournaments and award a $200 seat for every ten players.  Also throughout the night we will be running single table sit and go satellites.
