What if I can't make it on time for an event?

If you are not going to be able to make it on time for an event then have another player buy you in. We will have a system in place where that player will be able to draw your seat for you and you will be blinded out until you arrive. You will not incure the 100 chips penalty if you have someone else buy you in before registration ends. Do not call Quentin or Greg and ask them to buy you in, nobody likes you.

Can I sell or trade the Main Event seat that I won in a satellite?
Yes. Just let either Quentin or Greg know of the transfer prior to the day of the event.

Can I sell or trade my entry into the Tournament of Champions?
No. If for some reason you cannot play on Sunday, September 24th, you cannot transfer the seat to someone else or sell your seat. In the event a player cannot play in the tournament a third seat will be given away during the Championship Freeroll.

What happens if I win two of the priliminary events?
A little over zealous aren't you? Well if you are lucky enough to win two of the preliminary events(Events 1-7) you will not only get your entry into the Tournament of Champions, you will also get a free entry into the $200 Main Event. The $200 for your entry will come out of the Championship prize pool. In this event a third seat will be given away during the Championship Freeroll.

How many chips will I start with in the Tournament of Champions?
Players will be ranked by there points and given chips from 2000 down to 1000 based on how many points they have.

How many chips will I start with in the Championship Freeroll?
Players will be given chips based on their points.
20th thru 16th in points: 500 chips
15th thru 11th in points: 1000 chips
10th thru 6th in points: 1500 chips
5th thru 1st in points: 2000 chips

Can I make a deal at the final table?
Yes, but any deal may not include the Tournament of Champions seat. All players must play the tournament out and the winner will advance to the TOC. Also a player cannot intentionally throw a match to give the other player the TOC seat.

Is this legal?
Yes. According to the Michigan Public Act 69 of 1997 games played with cards including poker are legal as long as "no person makes money for operating the game, except as a player." Since we make zero dollars, and in most cases less than zero dollars, running the tournaments then it is our understanding of the law that we are legal.
